Hello Suzanne, You may have progressed since posting your message re Bicknell/FREE. If not, I had a look at the freebmd site to see the marriage record on the indexes for Henry and Clara. The indexes are the key for obtaining further details about the marriage. To progress further you need to contact the PRO office to order their marriage certificate which will give more details. It will also reveal the fathers names for both. I did notice a Henry EDWARD Bicknell born in 1893 in the St Giles district of London. It was the only Henry E born in that time frame to match your Henry's birth. It's possible that this Henry was the son of Henry and ?Sarah Bicknell who were living in the parish of Newington, London, acc to 1901 census. The family were Street Flower sellers <own business> Their children were Bridget aged 11. Henry 8. Kate 5. James 2. Rose. 6 months. You would need your Henry's m/cert 1924 to confirm father. To order m/cert you must provide the following details= HENRY E. BICKNELL. CLARA FREE. MARRIAGE YEAR. 1924. DEC QTR. Vol.1c. Page.192. Shoreditch. --------- where to contact= REGISTER OFFICE BMD The Town Hall, Mare Street, Hackney, London, E8 1EA. U.K. -------------- Patrick. No relation. Notify Administrator about this message?
