This is very interesting. I am not a member of the Bicknell family, but I have owned a framed circular picture frame carved by C. C. Bicknell for about 45 years. He carved it in the "Nutshell". The picture inside the frame is called the "Old Man of the Valley". It is a rock formation and the picture and frame was carved/taken in 1918. The frame is an 8" circle and it has 3 circles that turn. The writing on the back says "carved during an eclipse of the sun in 1918, by C.C. Bicknell, West Chesterfield, Mass.
